Frank Gedye, born and bred in Ballarat, opened Ballarat’s Cheapest Cars in 1992 with a simple goal: to provide local families with quality used cars at honest, affordable prices. What started as a small yard in Sebastopol, run by Frank and his son Andrew, has grown over the years into a much larger, modern dealership on the corner of Howitt and Burnbank Streets in Wendouree.
As a family-owned business, we’ve built a reputation for trust, reliability, and friendly, no-pressure service. Our aim has always been more than just selling cars — it’s about helping the Ballarat community, forming lasting relationships with customers and their families, and ensuring every vehicle we sell meets high standards of quality and value. Over 30 years later, Ballarat’s Cheapest Cars continues to be a place where the community can buy with confidence.
